Yash Raj Films (YRF) has set the release date for the romance movie Saiyaara and released the teaser today. Ahaan Panday makes his acting debut with this film, which also stars Aneet Padda and was produced by YRF CEO Akshaye Widhani. The worldwide theatrical premiere of the film is set for July 18, 2025.
The teaser begins with the narration by Aneet, who talks about her love, played by Ahaan. They both are young and madly in love but do face hindrances, which they face in the most passionate way. The teaser also features a song which will likely strike a chord with the masses, as it has that unmissable flavour of Mohit Suri which we have witnessed for the past two decades. Saiyaara promises the fresh pair to have igniting chemistry and the teaser is indeed a glimpse.
The story and screenplay for Saiyaara were written by Sankalp Sadanah, with Rohan Shankar contributing dialogues. The film is marketed as a passionate love story that pays homage to YRF's work while also showcasing Suri's distinctive storytelling approach.
The teaser introduces the film's tone and main characters. Under YRF's in-house grooming initiative, Ahaan Panday has been developing as a star since his introduction. The female protagonist is played by Aneet Padda, who is most renowned for her part in the highly acclaimed web series Big Girls Don't Cry and the 2022 film Salaam Venky featuring Kajol in the lead.
In the film, the literal meaning of the word Saiyaara—a "wandering celestial body"—takes on a more poetic tone. The use of Saiyaara as a metaphor for something or someone bright, ethereal, and perpetually out of reach establishes the narrative's thematic tone.

A diverse group of musicians, including Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Rishabh Kant, Tanishk Bagchi, Faheem Abdullah, Vishal Mishra, and Arslan Nizami, compose the film's score. Irshad Kamil, Mithoon, Rishabh Kant, and Raj Shekhar have all contributed lyrics, which bodes well for the varied and multi-layered score that Mohit Suri's films are known for.
In conjunction with the release of Saiyaara, YRF is commemorating 50 years in the film business. The banner upholds its legacy of introducing fresh talent and crafting heartfelt, musically driven stories, as it was done in the romantic masterpieces helmed by Yash Chopra and Aditya Chopra. As Suri celebrates 20 years in the business, this film adds to his resume of heartfelt romantic dramas.
