Saiyami Kher on 8 AM Metro: I feel lucky to mouth Gulzar Saab's poetry

Actress Saiyami Kher, who is gearing up for the release of her next film, 8 AM Metro, along with Gulshan Devaiah, shares that the poetry of veteran poet Gulzar is extensively used as part of the narrative in the film. She added that it has given her a chance to reunite with the iconic artist for the second time.

The actress started her career in Bollywood with the film Mirzya, which released in 2016. Gulzar is the writer of the film.

In 8 AM Metro, Gulzar's poetry has been used to decorate the emotional narrative, and Saiyami has recited those lines in the film.

Sharing her experience of working and reuniting with Gulzar, Saiyami said, "8 AM Metro is a beautiful story and is decorated with the poetry written by Gulzar Saab. His poems bring life to the film. I feel lucky to have gotten a chance to read those poems. He was also gracious enough to release the poster for the movie."

The actress calls herself fortunate to have started her acting career with Gulzar in Mirzya and admits that his words have had a huge impact on her life.

"His body of work, humility, and knowledge are so vast that all I could do was sit back and wonder how one man can do so much," said Saiyami, who says she is a big fan of the poet.

He has unknowingly been a big influence in my life. I feel eternally grateful to have worked with him for the second time. It’s pure joy," added Saiyami.

8AM Metro is directed by Raj R and revolves around a young housewife named Iravati, who leads a mundane life. But her life goes through a huge change when she has to rush to Hyderabad and meets Pritam, played by Gulshan.

The first song of the film, Woh Khuda, by the Nooran Sisters, was released recently. 8AM Metro is set to release in theatres on May 19.-
