Salaar actor Prithviraj: 'World has seen so little of Prashanth Neel'

Malayalam star Prithviraj wished filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who turned 43rd birthday on Sunday. In his tweet, he claimed that the world was yet to see the full potential of Prashanth. 

"Happy birthday Prashanth! There is so little of you the world has seen till now..and I know the year ahead will be a teaser of what is to follow! It’s been an absolute privilege to be working with you..and I cannot wait for what is ahead!," tweeted Prithviraj.

Prithviraj is playing a key role in Prashanth's upcoming movie Salaar. According to reports, he's playing one of the antagonists in the movie. His character has been named Vardharaja Mannaar. The filmmakers earlier also revealed Prithviraj's character look. 

Prashanth is now basking in the success of his previous film KGF: Chapter 2, which collected a whopping Rs 1200 crore from its worldwide ticket sales. Following in the footsteps of director SS Rajamouli, Prashanth split his crime drama into two parts. The first part of KGF 1 was released in 2018 and became a huge hit at the box office. And the production of KGF 2 was delayed due to various reasons including the pandemic. But, when the movie was finally released in cinemas last year, KGF 2 shattered the box office records of previous blockbusters. The movie became the first film to earn over Rs 100 crore on its opening day in the history of Kannada cinema. And its global collection grossed over Rs 1200 crore. 

The success of KGF 2 made Prashanth and Yash a sensation across the country. And it has also ramped up the expectations around Salaar. 

The production of Salaar is fast nearing completion. The pan-India movie is bankrolled by Hombale Films, who produced the KGF franchise. The movie is set to arrive in cinemas on September 28 this year. 

Salaar stars Prabhas and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles.
