It has been a year of box office clashes, commercial hits, and some surprising successes in Indian cinema. The last month of the year has seen two massive clashes as four supremely popular actors clashed at the box office. December opened with Ranbir Kapoor in "Animal" clashing with Vicky Kaushal in "Sam Bahadur." It is now ending with Shah Rukh Khan in "Dunki" clashing with Prabhas in "Salaar." The latter, however, is winning the game over King Khan and has already achieved a great feat with its first-day collections.

Yes, you read that right. "Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire" has already achieved a massive milestone with its day 1 gross collection. The Prabhas starrer has earned Rs 96 crore at the Indian Box Office on day one, and it is indeed a massive number. However, what is more interesting is that it has now pushed down Shah Rukh Khan’s "Jawan" in the list of the highest first-day grossing movies in the Indian market.

You ask how? Well, the top four films on the list of highest first-day grossers had "Jawan" in the fourth position with a collection of Rs 90 crore. The Prabhas starrer has earned Rs 6 crore more than the Atlee directorial to be positioned on top of it and enjoy fourth place on the coveted list. It has already surpassed the first-day collections of all three Shah Rukh Khan movies, including "Pathaan," "Jawan," and "Dunki."

Meanwhile, the said list of first-day grossers in the Indian market has "Baahubali 2," "RRR," and "KGF: Chapter 2" in the first three positions. It is also interesting to see that the top five on the list are now all films directed by South Indian directors, with two belonging to SS Rajamouli, two to Prashanth Neel, and one to Atlee. It will be fun to see who can compete with these in the upcoming days, as there are many big-budget vehicles in the making as we speak.

Speaking of "Salaar Part 1 – Ceasefire," the movie is being appreciated by the audience and critics. It is mostly old wine packed in a new bottle, but the world-building is good, and Prabhas is well-placed. There is also a second part of the film that will be released soon.
