Salaar is a smash hit in Telugu states and is doing great in all areas of its release. The action drama is distributed by the makers of Pushpa, Mythri Movie Makers, on a massive scale in the state of Telangana.

As per the latest update, Salaar has crossed the Rs 50 crore share in Telangana. With this, the Prabhas starrer now stands in third place after Baahubali 2 and RRR. They are the only two Telugu films that made more than Rs 50 crore in Telangana.

We at OTTplay have already reported that Mythri Movie Makers bought the rights to Salaar for a whopping Rs 65 crore. Now that Salaar has already made Rs 50 crore, it needs more than Rs 15 crore to be in a safe zone in Telangana.

With multiple new Telugu films to be released this Friday, we need to see how Salaar will hold its fort. The lack of post-release promotions has also kept the talk a bit dull. If Prabhas had given two or three interviews, the output would have been even better.

On the other hand, Salaar has grossed just over Rs 90 crore net in Hindi and will touch the coveted Rs 100 crore mark soon. In the state of Andhra Pradesh, Salaar is also doing well and is already in a profit zone in many areas.

Salaar has Prithviraj Sukumaran and Shruthi Haasan in key roles and Ravi Basrur scores the music. Hombale Films is the production house behind this film, which is the tale of two close friends turning enemies.
