While box office pundits are busy predicting which film among Salaar and Dunki would open well at the box office this weekend, Prabhas fans are a slightly worried lot. They had enough reason to be disappointed as Hombale Films, the production house behind Salaar, barely promoted the film as per their satisfaction, with only four days left for the release across five languages.

The first trailer didn’t live up to the expectations of film buffs, while the first single Sooreede managed to ignite some curiosity. With the absence of any promotional events, the second trailer for Salaar was crucial to bring momentum to the ticket sales across the globe. While the trailer was to have released yesterday, it was postponed to today at the last minute.

Fans were eagerly waiting for the release trailer at 10.42 am today, only to be disappointed to listen to the confirmation around its delay and that it would release at 2 pm. However, netizens are frustrated that the makers have delayed the trailer launch again, not once but thrice. With barely enough promotional material to excite fans, the scenario doesn’t exactly look rosy for team Salaar.

Even with the promotional interviews, team Salaar has remained extremely choosy. While it’s understandable that they are banking on brand Prabhas and Prashanth Neel for the collections, every film needs that extra push for a festival release, especially when they’re locking horns with a film like Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki.

For the unversed, Salaar is a two-part action franchise, with the first part being titled Salaar Ceasefire. Shruti Haasan plays the female lead in the film that also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Brahmaji, Sapthagiri and others. Ravi Basrur scores the music for the actioner, while Bhuvan Gowda and Ujwal Kulkarni are the cinematographer and the editor, respectively.
