The vast battalion of Prabhas' fans eagerly awaits the release of Salaar, the next big offering from the makers of the KGF franchise. Prabhas joins Prashanth Neel and Hombale Films for a two-part magnum opus, with the first instalment - titled Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire - scheduled to release on September 28. The countdown, anyhow, has already begun with great gusto among the fans who have noted that the film is exactly 60 days from arriving in cinemas worldwide.

In this vein, social media users have now begun urging the makers of Salaar to release the first single from the soundtrack. In fact, some of them even claim that a major announcement concerning the song is around the corner, with the team expected to drop it sometime in August. With the combination of composer and Prashanth Neel previously yielded hit songs such as Toofan, Salaam Rocky Bhai and others, one does hope to see the Salaar music album, too, living up to the promise.

That said, the duo has also been criticized for rehashing their past work, with Neel getting the flak for using the same visual aesthetics for each of his films and Ravi Basrur for creating a soundscape that starkly resembles his other stuff.

The first teaser of Salaar: Part 1 - Ceasefire dropped a couple of weeks ago amid tremendous fanfare. Interestingly, the makers chose to release the promo at the odd hour of 5:12 am but that did not deter fans from turning it into a mega event with their love and support. The response, though, stands divided with one section of the viewers showering praise on the teaser with the rest opining that they wished to see a bit more of the film in the video. The first trailer of Salaar is expected to come out at the end of August.

The film also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Pramod, Tinnu Anand, Ramachandra Raju, Madhu Guruswamy, Easwari Rao, Brahmaji and several others. Bhuvan Gowda is the cinematographer with Ujwal Kulkarni handling editing.
