Salakaar is a high-stakes spy thriller where the past and present collide with devastating consequences. Spanning two timelines, the series follows a young Indian spy on a covert mission that uncovers hidden truths and national secrets.
Inspired by real events, the film tells the story of a well-known spy who, driven by his extraordinary skills and vital intelligence, successfully disarms enemy forces to protect national security.
Faruk Kabir, director and co-writer, said that Salakaar is not just a spy thriller, it's a deeply emotional narrative about fractured legacies and the cost of silence and they see this espionage not only as a mission, but also as a burden, a debt passed down from one generation to the next.
