As the investigation into politician Baba Siddique’s murder case continues, and with the firing incident outside Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence in April still fresh in everyone's minds, threats against the Dabangg star reportedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang persist. Tension hangs heavy in the city following the murder of an influential figure in a busy location on a festival day in a bustling city like Mumbai. While the police are focused on uncovering the truth and ensuring the safety of Salman and his family, his father, Salim Khan, has spoken out regarding the situation, stating that Salman did not kill the blackbuck in the first place and has no reason to apologize. The legendary writer revealed that Salman told him he was not even in the car during the incident.
Salim Khan, who has supported his son throughout this controversy for over two decades, recently addressed the row that has shaken their family and jeopardized their safety. He emphasized Salman's innocence, arguing that if he were to apologize, it would imply guilt regarding the animal’s death, which he denies. Salim stated that they have never harmed even a cockroach. The writer affirmed that his son has never lied to him and questioned those demanding an apology, asking if they have investigated the matter themselves.
In a conversation with ABP News, Salim Khan said, "I asked Salman who did it, and he said that he was not even present at the spot. He said he was not even in the car when the incident happened. And he never lies to me." He added, "Usko nahi hai yeh sab shauk jaanwaron ko maarne ka. Jaanwaron se mohabbat karta hai vo. Mafi mangna, ye accept karna hai ki maine maara hai. Salman ney kabhi kisi jaanwar ko nahi maara. Humne kabhi kisi cockroach ko bhi nahi maara. Hum inn cheezo mein believe hi nahi karte" (Apologizing means admitting guilt. Salman never killed any animal. We have never even killed a cockroach. We do not believe in these things).
Salim further questioned whom Salman should apologize to, asking whether those demanding an apology have ever saved an animal. He insisted that the actor is innocent and has committed no crime. "Koi gunaah kiya hai? Aapne dekha hai? Aapko maloom hai, jaanch padtaal ki hai? Humne toh kabhi bandook bhi nahi use ki" (Has he committed any crime? Have you seen him? Have you investigated the matter? We have never even used a gun). Salim reiterated, "Salman ney kaha main to tha bhi nahi us time, usko nahi shauk jaanwar maarne ka wo jaanwaro se mohabbat karta hai" (He wasn't there at the time. He loves animals).
Meanwhile, Salman Khan has been taking all necessary security precautions for his safety. Nevertheless, the actor has returned to work after grieving the death of his close friend Baba Siddique. He filmed for Bigg Boss 18 on Thursday night amid tight security, remaining in his designated chalet throughout the shoot. Reports indicate that he is also back on the sets of Sikandar, as he doesn't want the producer to suffer. Additionally, he has reportedly purchased a bulletproof car worth Rs 2 crore.
