Salman Khan’s fans can bounce with joy today! Just a while ago, popular filmmaker Sooraj Barjatya confirmed that his upcoming film will feature Salman Khan in a titular role. The movie will go on the floor next year.
Details of the project
Speaking to the news outlet India Today, Sooraj said, “I am starting with Salman mid-next year because when I make a film, I become selfish. Today, at this stage of my life as a director, I have become selfish. I write the film myself and when I write myself, then I take my own time. With Salman especially, since we are doing something together after a long time, it has to be something special, especially after all these years. So yeah, I will start next year mid.”
The name of Sooraj’s upcoming directorial with Salman Khan is not known yet.
For the unfamiliar, Salman and Sooraj have worked together in multiple films in the past in the capacity of an actor-director.
In 1989, Sooraj directed the superhit movie ‘Maine Pyar Kiya’ featuring Salman in a key role. Notably, Sooraj made his directorial debut with this film.
Soon after the success of this film, they worked on multiple films namely, ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ (1994), ‘Hum Saath-Saath Hain’ (1999), and ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ (2015).
