Salman Khan-Karan Johar’s untitled next to go on floors in December? Here’s what we know so far

Salman Khan and Karan Johar’s upcoming movie has become one big mystery. Ever since Salman changed his look, people have been guessing that the actor is prepping for his next with the filmmaker and they might just be correct. There are now some major updates on the film, helmed by Vishnu Vardhan. From who will be the female lead in the movie to when will it go on floors, we have come across some interesting details about the project.

Are Trisha, Samantha, Anushka Shetty being approached?

A source told Pinkvilla that no actress has been finalized for the movie yet. The makers have two names in mind but they do not happen to be Trisha, Samantha Ruth Prabhu or Anushka Shetty. They are expected to finalize the cast by the first week of October, once Vishnu Vardhan completes the shoot of his Tamil film. The film is the first time that Salman collaborates with Vishnu Vardhan. Interestingly, it is also his reuniting with Karan Johar since Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, which released 25 years ago.

What is the plot of the film?

Much like Sidharth Malhotra-Kiara Advani’s Shershaah (helmed by Vishnu Vardhan and backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions), this action-thriller will also be set against the backdrop of Indian army. Salman will play a paramilitary officer for the first time in his Bollywood career. The actor has reportedly started prep for the role and is getting back in shape for the same reason. He seems to be hitting the gym and following a strict diet. The film is based on an incident that is touted to be one of the most heroic wins of India.

When will it go on floors?

The makers will commence a brief schedule in the first week of December. They will then reunite for a bigger portion of the shoot in January. An announcement for the movie is expected within two months.
