Salman Khan is rumoured to be taking on a legendary role on Indian television. Officials from Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) have stated that the superstar is now in negotiations to succeed Amitabh Bachchan as the show's host. If the deal goes through, it will mark a significant milestone for the long-running quiz show, which has been Bachchan's creation since its inception in 2000.
There have been rumours that Amitabh Bachchan is planning to leave the show for personal reasons, which led to this change. Because of this, the show's broadcaster, Sony Entertainment Television, has been having internal conversations about finding a new presenter who can maintain KBC tradition while giving it a modern twist.
Salman Khan has a fantastic rapport with viewers in smaller areas, making him the ideal choice to succeed Amitabh Bachchan (Adalat and Shakti) as a face on television. In the past, Shah Rukh Khan (Karan Arjun and Koyla) has hosted KBC, but according to Bollywood Hungama's insider, Salman will be the next big item to hit television screens.
Khan has been on TV before – from his breakout performance on Dus Ka Dum to his enduring popularity as the Bigg Boss host, he has become a television presence. His widespread popularity, particularly outside of major cities, is a crucial consideration in the present decision-making procedure.
Additionally, the entertainment portal reported that discussions are still ongoing, particularly regarding financial matters. The source added, "Get ready to tune into Sony, as Salman Khan might host the biggest and most popular quiz show in India, as Amitabh Bachchan will be stepping back from 'KBC' due to personal reasons."
This forthcoming season of Bigg Boss will be Salman Khan's second stint as host; he may also take over KBC in the future. Apoorva Lakhia, the director of his next feature, will begin filming in July as part of his preparations.
If all goes as planned, Khan will join Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan as hosts of KBC. Official confirmation is awaited.
