Salman Khan and Kabir Khan are back in action, and their collaboration could take off soon. While it is speculated that the duo would return for the much-talked-about Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel, that now seems unlikely. This is mainly because Kabir Khan is against the idea of sequels (he did not come on board for the Tiger sequels either). Thus, even if there is buzz that the duo will collaborate, it would be for a new project. Know all about it…
While many are awaiting the Bajrangi Bhaijaan sequel, Kabir Khan might not be one of them. The filmmaker has reportedly rejected the idea despite hearing the script by Vijayendra Prasad. The latter had confirmed the project recently. “Kabir Khan is against sequels, and doesn’t want to touch a classic like Bajrangi Bhaijaan. While he heard the idea cracked by Vijayendra Prasad, he isn’t too keen on making Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2,” a source told Pinkvilla.
After delivering massive hits like Ek Tha Tiger and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Radhe actor Salman and Kabir do look at collaborating again. The project is touted to be an original idea. “He has pitched an original larger-than-life drama to Salman, and the actor is considering that as a follow-up to Apoorva Lakhia, but nothing is confirmed at the moment,” the little birdie confirmed.
Salman Khan is considering Apoorva Lakhia’s next project based on the Galwan Valley attacks. The Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actor would consider Kabir’s movie only after shooting for the film. “The idea at the moment is to shoot for Apoorva Lakhia from July to October, followed by Kabir Khan from November,” the source was quoted as saying, while hinting at Salman’s shoot schedule since the Sikandar debacle.
Salman Khan’s movies have been struggling to cross the benchmark they easily did in the pre-COVID era. The actor, who would get into Rs. 200 crore club, now struggles to go beyond Rs. 100 crore club at the Box Office, and sometimes fails to even earn the mark. Phantom director Kabir Khan is also looking at making a powerful comeback, and given the duo’s history, the collaboration could be just what they need.
