Salman Khan and Arijit’s decade-long rift has finally rested as the superstar acknowledged that the actor-singer duo are now actually good friends and also working together. However, this was not the case almost a decade ago. In 2014, during an award function, Salman Khan and Arijit Singh engaged in a war of words when his humour was misinterpreted. For the unversed, when Arijit came to the stage to receive his award, Salman teased him and said, “So gaye the?" (“Were you asleep?"). Arijit, who was enjoying his Tum Hi Ho fame, replied, “Aap logon ne sula diya yaar (You people put me to sleep).” The sarcastic reply caused an uncomfortable situation between the two. Despite Arijit’s public apology, there were speculations that the singer was removed from Salman Khan’s films.

When Ravi said that he was actually skeptical to be with him on the stage because of his uncanny resemblance to singer Arijit Singh, Salman Khan smiled and finally broke his silence on the rift between them. He cleared the air of their feud and shared that he is actually now friends with him and the entire thing was just a misunderstanding, and that too from his side. “Arijit aur main bahut achhe dost hai. Woh misunderstanding thi aur woh misunderstanding mere side se huyi thi (Arijit and I are very good friends. That misunderstanding had happened from my side).”
Later, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor also revealed that they are currently working together, as he is contributing to his upcoming film, Battle of Galwan. “Uske baad usne gaane bhi kiye mere liye. Tiger 3 mein kiya usne, agge Galwan (Battle of Galwan) mein kar raha hai (After that, he even did songs for me. He sang in Tiger 3 and now he’s doing one in Galwan)," Salman added.
