The choreographer for Soni De Nakhre, a now-popular song from Partner, was focused on flaunting Salman and Deewana Mastana actor Govinda's legs in the track. David Dhawan was not willing to have it and stepped in to change the focus in the song. "David saahab mere paas bethe bolte hai ke ek actor 10 crore le raha hai aur ek 5 crore le raha hai. 15 crore ke actor ki taange dikhaayi jaa rahi hai, koi matlab toh hai nahi," Alok recalled. He shared how the director then asked the camera crew for a close up on the actors. "Jo 15 crore ke 2 khade hai inka close maar," he recalled the Biwi No 1 director state. After stepping in, Dhawan asked the actors to work their magic and just like that, we got an iconic song.
