Salman Khan's Bajrangi Bhaijaan to get a sequel? Here's what KV Vijayendra Prasad has to say

A couple of days back, Kabir Khan directorial Bajrangi Bhaijaan clocked six years of its release. The film stars Salman Khan in the lead role with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Harshaali Malhotra. Now after these many years of release, legendary KV Vijayendra Prasad, who wrote the story of Bajrangi Bhaijaan hinted about the sequel to the blockbuster. During an interaction with Pinkvilla, the screenwriter confirmed talking to Salman about it. 

Vijayendra stated that he is trying to crack Bajrangi Bhaijaan 2 and even told Salman the idea sometime back. He further said, "Salman is also excited. But I am looking for a proper vehicle to carry it forward. I hope it materialises."

For the film, KV Vijayendra Prasad won Filmfare Award for Best Story. Meanwhile, the movie was bestowed with Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment at the National Film Awards.

Prasad's latest outing as a screenwriter is RRR which is directed by his son and filmmaker SS Rajamouli. The fictional epic period drama stars Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. While Shriya Saran, Samuthirakani, Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody have been roped in to play the supporting roles.

While talking about casting NTR and Ram in RRR, the legendary screenwriter praised his son Rajamouli by calling him a 'very good narrator' in an interview with Pinkvilla.

Vijayendra's recent popular works include Baahubali films - Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. He also co-wrote the Tamil movie Mersal starring Vijay in a triple role and penned Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi in which Kangana Ranaut played the titular role. The actor even won the National Film Award for her performance.
