Salman Khan's Bigg Boss as well as Rohit Shetty-hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi might be on the backburner for a while. Yes, the biggest reality shows, hosted on a popular TV channel, might not happen at all in 2025. What caused this decision? There's a big reason behind that. Know all about it...
Salman Khan's popular reality TV show Bigg Boss and Rohit Shetty-hosted Khatron Ke Khiladi are unlikely to go on air in 2025, and there's a major reason behind that. The thing is that the biggest sponsor for both the reality TV shows have pulled the plug, and thus, the makers are finding it difficult to move on with the project.
Now that it has come to this point, it might not be a surprise if Salman Khan ends up sponsoring Bigg Boss, while Rohit Shetty backs Khatron Ke Khiladi. But then again, the budgets, among other things, could be impacted. Salman has faced massive losses after his movies like Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan and more recently, Sikandar, tanked at the Box Office. Similarly, Shetty had incurred a massive loss with Cirkus and thus, it remains uncertain whether the faces, despite being constantly associated with the show, could actually back the project at such a scale.
With Bigg Boss and Khatron Ke Khiladi probably being canned, all hopes are pinned on Amitabh Bachchan-hosted Kaun Banega Crorepati. Yes, KBC is returning with season 17 and the registrations are set to commence from tomorrow. The release date for this show is set too. So, we guess the entertainment will still be, although it might get slightly limited this year.
