Salman Khan’s fake confession accepting his involvement in the hit-and-run case, saying 'logo ka bhala hua iske andar,' goes viral

One of the most well-known actors in Hindi cinema, Salman Khan has made headlines for both his films and his controversial life. The instance of the alleged drunk driving that occurred back in 2002 is the one that is causing the most controversy. 

For the uninitiated, Salman was detained in connection with a hit-and-run case when it was claimed that he ran over five persons living on the streets of Mumbai. According to reports, one of them died, and the other four sustained injuries. As a result of a lack of evidence, the Bombay High Court subsequently withdrew all the accusations after granting him bail in 2015. However, the Maharashtra Government contested his acquittal in the Supreme Court in 2016. 

The viral video which is now going viral is from a Rajat Sharma-hosted episode of Aap Ki Adalat. He questioned the superstar there over his infamous hit-and-run incident. In the re-edited version of that particular sequence, Salman Khan stated, "apparently 75% drunk driving cases dropped.  So by me going in for something... you know, itne saare logon ka bhala hua hai iske andar. So sometimes khud ko taklif aati hai but you should see the bigger picture. So that’s what I’m saying, simple.” If one chooses not to conduct a fact check, the fake edit can easily be mistaken for the actual one because it sounds so real.
