Salman Yusuff Khan on the claimed harassment at the Bengaluru airport due to his lack of Kannada language skills: What I've faced is unacceptable

Salman Yusuff Khan, a well-known choreographer and performer, said that people were rude to him at the Bengaluru airport because he didn't speak Kannada. The famous dancer from Dancing India Dance posted a video on Instagram that told the whole story of what happened to him on Wednesday.

Salman may be seen in the video sporting a pink shirt and cap. He wrote that he tagged Kempegowda International Airport. On his way to Dubai, he encounters an immigration officer who speaks to him in Kannada. The dancer attempted to explain to him in my broken Kannada that he understands the language but cannot speak it well. The officer then points to his passport, points out his name and his place of birth, and has the audacity to tell him that he and his father were born in Bengaluru. Salman has never had Kannada as a language, as he never lived in the country during his schooling.

The immigration officer told him that he could assume he didn't know Kannada if he tried to speak to him in Hindi. Salman informed him that he understood his country's official language, Hindi, and that Hindi is his native tongue, so why should he know Kannada? The ABCD actor asked the officer what he thought he was guilty of. Salman told him that he almost has no reason to doubt him. He repeated, "Try me," and grew a bit louder, saying it three times. To which the officer remained silent.

Salman then told him that if people like him stayed in our country, it would never get better. The officer only lowered his head and mumbled in response. The dancer is attempting to notify the airport authorities of this occurrence, but nobody seemed to be able to help. Now Salman has to show himself to these stupid brutes if he wants to represent his city and receive national recognition.

However, Salman is glad to be from Bengaluru, but what he has experienced is intolerable. One should never belittle individuals for not speaking the local tongue or even bringing up their parents' names. Instead, one should constantly encourage others to pick up the language.

In the meanwhile, Salman has appeared in movies including Wanted, ABCD: Anyone Can Dance, and Street Dancer 3D, in addition to dance programs like Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Dance India Dance.
