Salute: Dulquer Salmaan announces the release date of his Malayalam cop drama

The actor Dulquer Salmaan is busy with his back to back releases. After Kurup, which released on Netflix recently, the actor now has Hey Sinamika and Salute releasing. The actor had just announced the release date of his drama Hey Sinamika and now he took to social media to share the exciting news of his next film Salute. 

The actor shared a poster on Instagram of his cop drama and wrote: "Aravind Karunakaran is on a mission!! Salute…releasing in theaters worldwide on January 14, 2022.," tagging the cast and crew of the film.

After donning the role of a criminal in his earlier movie Kurup, we will now get to see the actor playing the role of a cop for the first time. The film also features Diana Penty, Manoj K. Jayan, Saniya Iyappan and Lakshmi Gopalaswamy.

The cop drama is directed by Rosshan Andrrews and written by Bobby-Sanjay. This is the sixth collaboration of the writers. The action thriller drama is produced by Dulquer Salmaan himself under his banner Wayfarer Films. The cinematography is by Aslam K. Puraiyil and editing by A. Sreekar Prasad. Santhosh Narayanan has composed the original background score but he was later replaced by Jakes Bejoy.

The film was majorly shot in Trivandrum, Kollam, Kasargode, and New Delhi. After facing several delays in releasing the film due to the second wave of the pandemic, the film will finally be out on January 14, 2022.
