Vicky Kaushal is all set for his film Sam Bahadur's theatrical release. The actor will be seen playing India's first field marshal Sam Manekshaw in the film. Directed by Meghna Gulzar, it is scheduled to hit the big screen on December 1. After Sam Bahadur's teaser dropped, Alia Bhatt revealed how Vicky reacted when Meghna narrated the story of her film on Raazi's set.

Alia Bhatt reposted the teaser of Sam Bahadur on her Instagram story. While sharing the same, the actress shared a lesser-known anecdote about Vicky Kaushal and the Meghna Gulzar directorial. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actress revealed that Meghna narrated the story of Sam Bahadur on the sets of Raazi.
"I still remember the day Meghna Gulzar told us the story of Sam on the sets of Raazi... Vicky sat there... a twinkle in his eye... hoping to one day be Sam. And wow... just wow Vicky Kaushal! Can't wait to see this one Special mention to my favourite DoP Jay I Patel (sic)," wrote Alia.

Vicky Kaushal in Sam Bahadur
Vicky plays the titular role in Meghna's film. The movie revolves around the life of Sam Manekshaw. He was the Chief of Army Staff during the 1971 Indo-Pakistan war. It also stars Sanya Malhotra and Fatima Sana Shaikh.
Sam Bahadur's release date
The Vicky Kaushal-starrer is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 1. It will be clashing with Animal on the same day at the box office. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial features Alia's husband Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role.
