Sam Bahadur BTS: Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Sanya Malhotra's photos from the table read session go viral

On Saturday, the filmmakers of the impending biopic Sam Bahadur posted photos from the table read session. In addition to Vicky Kaushal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, and Sanya Malhotra, the film's leading ladies, as well as the producer Ronnie Screwvala and the writers Bhavani Iyer and Shantanu Srivastava, may be seen in the reading section with director Meghna Gulzar.

Vicky posted pictures of himself grinning on his Instagram page while Sanya and Fatima read lines from the play. In the caption, he wrote: "Reading together, a story we are honoured to tell. Of a Soldier and a Gentleman. Our Samबहादुर."

Sam Bahadur is based on the biography of Field Marshal S.H.F.J. Manekshaw, a man whose career spanned four decades and five wars, starting with his service in the British Indian Army during World War II and including several renown-making feats. He was transferred to the eighth Gorkha Rifles from his previous regiment, the fourth Battalion, 12th Frontier Force Regiment, which joined the Pakistan Army following Partition.

Three years have passed since Meghna Gulzar's last movie, Chhapaak, which starred Deepika Padukone and Vikrant Massey and was also a biography of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.

Vicky will play the title role in Sam Bahadur, and Fatima, who portrays former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, will reteam with her Dangal co-star Sanya Malhotra.

Sam Bahadur is the second outing of Vicky with Meghna after Raazi (2018), in which he was seen alongside Alia Bhatt.

Meanwhile, Fatima had earlier spoken about reuniting with Sanya after Dangal and Ludo. She had told Pinkvilla that she still kept running into Sanya. They won't be "acting" together; rather, it will be more like Ludo. They will spend a short time together. So, it's not like they are working together, but it's still incredibly amazing that they will be in the same movie. In Fatima's opinion, they are fortunate to have each other. The Modern Love: Mumbai actor also said that Vicky is also a lovely person and, consequently, it will be a lot of fun.
