Sree Vishnu, who was last seen as a cop in Alluri, is back in a light-hearted fun avatar in his next film, Samajavaragamana. While the film was to hit screens initially in May, it’ll now release worldwide the coming weekend on June 29. Reba Monica John plays the female lead in the entertainer directed by Ram Abbaraju, best known for the direct-to-OTT release, Satya Akkala’s Vivaha Bhojanambu.

After making an impression with the teaser a few weeks ago, the film’s trailer was launched by Bholaa Shankar star Chiranjeevi this evening amidst the cast, crew. The trailer commences with the family of a multiplex staff member - nicknamed Box Office Balu - having a tub of popcorn under Balu’s name and the latter chiding them for the same.

The glimpse later takes you through the cute-little tiffs among the family members. The father even says how Balu treats his family members like the slaves in the KGF series. A handful of quirky characters - played by Vennela Kishore, Srikanth Iyengar, Sudarshan - ensure a few laughs. A girl says it’s not right to get every random woman to tie him a rakhi and another sequence has Balu’s friend stating that several women in his family have eloped already.

Razesh Danda has bankrolled the entertainer under Hasya Movies while Anil Sunkara of AK Entertainments is the presenter. Bhanu Bogavarapu has written the story and the dialogues are by Nandu Savirigana. Gopi Sundar scores the music and Raam Reddy is the cinematographer.

On the whole, Samajavaragamana appears to be a minimum-guarantee fare and is expected to draw family crowds, youngsters to the theatres. The film will be locking horns with Nikhil Siddhartha’s action thriller Spy.
