Actress Samantha Akkineni is coasting in what's certainly a phase of a lifetime in her decade-long tryst with cinema. Her recent films Oh Baby, Majili, Jaanu brought out the best in her and of course, her latest role as a rebel Raji in The Family Man 2, that earned her national fame, is the cherry on the cake. Rumours were rife that the actress had given her nod to a Netflix trilingual series and that she was offered Rs 8 crore for the same. However, a source close to the actress has confirmed that the news is 'false and baseless', as per a report by Bollywood Hungama.

The source shares that the actress isn't expected to be seen in an OTT show for the time being. Samantha is slated to begin working on Gunasekhar's magnum opus Shaakuntalam later this month and also will have to complete her shoot for Vignesh Shivn's next Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal along with Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara. She has also given her consent to Maya, Game Over director Ashwin Saravanan's upcoming film as well though it hasn't gone on floors yet.

"She is off the media as of now and is enjoying her family time with husband Naga Chaitanya and her loved ones. She isn't keen on being a part of a web series anytime in the near future. Raj Nidimoru and DK had to do a lot to convince Samantha to come on board for The Family 2 and it also materialised for her long-time desire to play a baddie. Even if she takes up anything, it has to be as challenging as The Family Man," the source was quoted as saying by the publication.
