It’s work-time for Samantha after a few weeks of rest and being diagnosed with an auto-immune condition myositis. While the actress braved her condition and dubbed for herself in her recent release Yashoda besides appearing in a couple of interviews, she stayed away from the limelight for the later part of 2022. After several rumours around her upcoming projects, the actress returned to work as she began dubbing for her next, the epic Shaakuntalam, earlier this week.

In her first public appearance in many months, Samantha was spotted while arriving at the Mumbai airport today. She was elegant in an all-white attire and even posed for selfies with fans at the airport. She was heading to an undisclosed location in the city for a work meeting. Earlier this week, the makers of the Indian version of Citadel confirmed that Samantha was very much a part of the show that also starrs Varun Dhawan and directed by Raj-DK.

Samantha has a handful of impressive projects in her kitty. While she’s also shot briefly for a rom-com Kushi alongside Vijay Deverakonda, the actress is all set to make her international debut with the adaptation of the book Arrangements of Love, directed by Philip John. Her immediate release is Shaakuntalam, based on Kalidasa’s treatise, directed by Gunasekhar, set to hit screens across the globe on February 17 this year.

The actress made her OTT debut with aha’s chat show Sam Jam and shot to fame across the country with her appearance in The Family Man 2 in 2021. Besides Yashoda, she was also seen in the Tamil comedy Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal alongside Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara.
