Samantha Ruth Prabhu buys back house she shared with ex-husband Naga Chaitanya, says neighbour

Samantha Ruth Prabhu who is making waves with her latest appearance on filmmaker Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan has more reasons to smile. The actress who parted ways with Telugu actor Naga Chaitanya in 2021 has reportedly bought back the house where she used to live with her ex-husband.

The development came to light after actor Murali Mohan discussed the couple in one of his recent interviews. Mohan who was their neighbour clarified the rumours suggesting that the actress got the house as a part of her alimony from Naga Chaitanya. According to Mohan, Samantha and Chaitanya had sold their house and bought an independent house. They continued to live in the house as their new property was being renovated.

In the interview, Mohan said that following their separation, Samantha approached him and offered to buy the house. The 82-year-old actor can be heard saying in the interview that Samantha was not feeling comfortable elsewhere and offered a higher price to buy back the house. Mohan mentioned that the actress is currently staying at the property with her mother.

In the interview shared on the official YouTube channel of the Telugu Film Producers Council Official channel, Mohan said that he had built a multi-storeyed house to live with his brother and son. However, when Chaitanya saw the house he reportedly convinced him to sell it to him. The veteran actor expressed shock at the separation of the two Tollywood superstars. Mohan said that Samantha and Chaitanya were perfect for each other.

Samantha, when asked about her divorce, said, she has emerged stronger and better. “I considered myself to be a much weaker individual. I expected to collapse and perish as a result of my separation. I didn’t believe I was capable of such strength. I’m quite pleased with how strong I am today since I didn’t realise how powerful I was before."

Right from the beginning of her career, she has experienced massive success. Samantha added, "I was surprised at the amount of love and appreciation that came from the North. I’ve always worked in the South and I expected my fans to react to it but I was extremely pleased and humbled at the immense appreciation I’ve received from throughout the country. It just inspires me to work harder."

Looking back at her career, is there any character or film she would have done differently? "Oh, so many. There’s a chunk of five years, I wish I could take back. So many of my films are shown on TV and I immediately turn it off. I don’t watch myself on screen!"
