Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the biggest stars in the country and has gone through a lot in her career. The Rabhasa actress is back in the game and has launched her production house, Tralala Moving Pictures. She is now ready with her new film Subham, which hits the screens on May 9, 2025.
The trailer of Subham has caught everyone's attention, and there has been a decent buzz ever since Samantha appeared at the pre-release event in Vizag. Subham is a horror comedy directed by Praveen Kandregula, who last made the subtle comedy Cinema Bandi.
When asked what is special about the film, the Alludu Seenu star said, “What you saw in the promos is just the horror comedy aspect, but Subham is much more than that. There’s a strong emotional core, and the twist in the film will leave you shocked. My film is not a typical horror comedy—you’ll understand this only when you watch it on the big screen.”
Samantha also shared that she launched her banner in Telugu to give young talent a platform to realise their dreams. “There is so much talent in the industry that often goes unnoticed. Subjects like Subham need solid backing, which is why I started this production house. In the days to come, you’ll see more films like Subham from my banner,” she added.
Subham features all new faces and revolves around a group of women in a small town who become obsessed with a TV serial, only to find themselves possessed. What is this mysterious series about, and what twist does it hold? Audiences will have to watch the film to find out.
The A.Aa star, Samantha, also appears in a special promotional song for the film, which has now gone viral. Subham is releasing alongside Sree Vishnu’s Single, creating strong box office competition.
Samantha concludes by saying that although not many may know about the film yet, once it's released, Subham will become a talking point. The A.Aa star has even done a cameo in the film, making it all the more intriguing.
