Samantha's Yashoda wraps up talkie shoot, one song to be filmed shortly

Yashoda, actress Samantha's new age thriller, helmed by director duo Hari and Harish is nearing completion. The team has announced today that the principal shoot of the film is complete but for a song sequence. The filming of the number is expected to commence soon as well. Sivalenka Krishna Prasad is bankrolling the multilingual film under Sridevi Movies. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan are also part of the lead cast.

The makers share that they managed to wrap up the talkie shoot within 100 days. The film is being made on a lavish scale and given the major shoot is finished, CG work has already commenced. The dubbing formalities are set to commence on July 15 across multiple languages. The team is lining up a strategy to promote the thriller across various parts of the country. Yashoda promises to be gripping and will have top-notch technical standards.

Team Yashoda is extremely satisfied with Samantha's dedication and commitment to play the titular role to perfection, more so with the high-voltage action sequences. The supporting cast also comprises Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, Priyanka Sharma. Yashoda will release simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada languages.

While it was announced that the film would release on August 12, it looks like the team would have to postpone the release by a few weeks. Pulagam Chinnarayana, Challa Bhagyalaxmi are penning the dialogues for the Telugu version. M Sukumar handles the cinematography while Ashok is the art director. The crew also includes ace editor Marthand K Venkatesh, composer Mani Sharma, stunt director Venkat among others. The film's first glimpse, released recently, received impressive responses.
