Malayalam actor Askar Ali’s latest film Sambavam Adhyayam Onnu hits theatres on March 6, 2026. The young actor is also the brother of Asif Ali, who has evolved to become a star in Malayalam cinema. Speaking about his brother’s dedication, Askar Ali explained how much Asif Ali is toiling hard for his upcoming film TikiTaka.
How Asif Ali is preparing for TikiTaka
TikiTaka is an upcoming Malayalam film, starring Asif Ali in the lead role and is directed by Rohith VS. TikiTaka is billed as an high-octane actioner, and Asif has been working hard to build his physique. In a recent interview with Red FM, Sambhavam actor Askar Ali said that his brother has always been inspiring him with the sheer effort he puts in preparing for his roles and makes him wonder if he would be able to match those standards.
“For the TikiTaka shoot, he has been working on building a six-pack. He is dieting and all. I wonder if I can ever do something like this? Because that much is toiling hard for it. It has been over a year since the TikiTaka shoot began and he got injured in between. He is going to gym, dieting and even when he eats, he immediately goes out for a walk afterwards,” explained Askar Ali.
“Even when he is on a diet, I will be gorging on biriyani in front of him,” the young actor said cheekily, adding that he wondered later if that was the right thing to do.
On his birthday last month, Asif Ali had given an update that they are in the final stage of TikiTaka shooting.
On the other hand, Sambhavam Adhyayam Onnu marks the sixth film of Askar Ali, who made his debut with Asif-starrer Honeybee 2.5 in 2017. But he only has a handful of films to his name and has yet to make a mark as a noted actor. Siddharth Bharathan also plays a key role in Sambavam Adhyayam Onnu, which is directed by Jithu Satheesan.
