Samrat Prithviraj, based on the life and heroism of the fearless and mighty King Prithviraj Chauhan, is Akshay Kumar's next film for Yash Raj Films. In this visual extravaganza, he plays the famous warrior who fought valiantly to preserve India from the cruel invader, Muhammad of Ghor. According to insiders, Akshay Kumar, director Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, and YRF are organising a spectacular salute to Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan during the film's release week.

According to the sources, Akshay Kumar, Manushi Chhillar, and the director will take Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan's flag to Somnath Temple and Varanasi to seek blessings, after which they will travel to Rai Pithora, the king's fort, in New Delhi, to place the flag there in his honour.

Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi said in a statement that Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan was the last Hindu Samrat of our country who stood up to safeguard Bharatmata's freedom and dignity against savage invaders who intended to loot India. They made this film to honour his noble spirit, and are now travelling to the Somnath Temple and Varanasi with Samrat Prithviraj's flag to seek blessings with the flag that symbolised independence for our country.

The filmmaker further said that after they put the Ganga's holy water on the flag and seek blessings at the Somnath temple, they will go to Rai Pithora, Samrat's fort, and place the flag there in his honour. Dwivedi believes that their film will inspire the young of India to absorb the same attitude of unwavering courage that the powerful king taught us never to bow down in the face of invaders and evil.

The Somnath temple is one of Hinduism's holiest pilgrimage sites, and it is thought to be the first of Lord Shiva's twelve Jyotirlinga temples. The temple has been rebuilt several times in the past after being repeatedly destroyed by Muslim invaders and monarchs, including Mahmud of Ghazni, who is said to have attacked the temple 17 times. Prithviraj's arch-enemy, Mohammad of Ghor, ruled over Ghazni as well. He established the groundwork for Muslim supremacy in the Indian subcontinent, which would persist for centuries.

In Samrat Prithviraj, Manushi Chhillar plays King Prithviraj's loving Sanyogita, and her debut is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated debuts of this year. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on June 3, 2022.
