For a number of weeks now, there has been a lot of talk about the north and south Indian industries. While most of it started after the box office dominance of south Indian films such as Pushpa: The Rise, KGF: Chapter 2 and RRR, the discussions have often taken a different turn.
The latest superstar to talk about this now is Akshay Kumar. As reported by Pinkvilla, the actor talked about it after being questioned about the dominance of south Indian movies in the Hindi speaking belts during the promotions of his upcoming movie Samrat Prithviraj.
Akshay Kumar said that people should stop creating a divide in the country and that there is nothing called south and north industries, as he pointed out that we are all one industry.
“Now, the time has come from across all the Industries to join and work together for a film for all the Indian audiences and Allu Arjun should work with me soon and I will act with another south actor. That is the way forward from now on," he said.
Akshay Kumar is currently busy promoting Samrat Prithviraj, which is a historical flick based on the life of king Prithviraj Chauhan. Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the movie also stars Manushi Chhillar, Sanjay Dutt, and Sonu Sood in important roles. The film is releasing in theatres tomorrow, on June 3.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun was last seen in Pushpa: The Rise, which became a box office hit in many parts of the country. The movie also had a successful run in the Hindi speaking belts. The actor will start filming for the second part of Pushpa next, titled Pushpa: The Rule.
