Samuthirakani on Vimanam's mixed response: Says theater count is increasing with each passing day

Vimanam is actor Samuthirakani's latest release which hit the screens on the 9th of June 2023. While the reviews have been mixed, the makers say that the general response from the audience is superb and the family audience in particular are loving the film and have made it a hit.

When asked about the mixed response to the film, Samuthirakani did not shy away and said "Vimanam stands as a best example as good films will always be embraced and promoted by the audience themselves and Vimanam proved it again. Thanks to ZEE Studios for promoting the film in such a good manner".

Adding further he says "Such an emotional film like 'Vimanam' comes very rarely. Encouraging such films will boost the morale of the industry and give confidence to new upcoming directors. The makers have informed me that theaters have increased for Vimanam as the word of mouth for the film has been great."

Anasuya Bharadwaj played the role of a sex worker and she too was trolled for doing such a role. But she says that the role was quite challenging and as it was brought to her by the people who were involved in her hit TV show Jabardasth, she could not say no to it and is proud of the film. Vimanam is directed by Siva Prasad Yanala and is about a handicapped father's struggle to fulfill his son's last wish.
