Director P.C. Shekar is in the process of reuniting the Love Mocktail jodi of Milana Nagaraj and Darling Krishan on screen. Titled Love Birds, the upcoming project is a unique love story set against the backdrop of corporate life and explores both the romance and challenges encountered by modern couples. And now, to make things all the more interesting, Samyukta Hornad has been brought on board to play a principal role in the film.
Yes, as per the latest reports, the One Cut Two Cut actress will be seen in a pivotal role in Love Birds and has already joined the sets. Samyukta will play Maya in the film, a character boasting of mystery and allure, but someone who is also completely in charge of her own life – in a recent interview, Samyukta shared that the character of Maya is a stark opposite to her in real life.

Director P.C. Shekar is said to have worked with Samyukta on an ad film and expressed great delight in bringing her on board this project. The team has already wrapped up 40% of the shoot.
P.C. Shekar began his filmmaking journey in 2006 with the Tamil film Kadhale En Kadhale before venturing into Kannada cinema. His first Kannada outing would be the Naveen N – Ragini Dwivedi starrer Naayaka but he would rise to prominence through his collaborations with Golden Star Ganesh: the two have worked on Romeo and Style King.
Coming back to Love Birds, the same reports state that the film will be a musical love story and Arjun Janya is scoring the film’s soundtrack. P.C Shekar and Arjun Janya have worked on a majority of the former’s projects and their unique collaboration in the 2017 film Raaga garnered a lot of praise from the audience. With P.C. Shekar being known for his vibrant visual storytelling and Janya for his eclectic work as a music composer, one can expect Love Birds to be a romantic treat after all!
