PremiumSamyuktha Menon and Nassar’s bilingual thriller Erida to release on Amazon Prime Video on this date
The movie, which is directed by VK Prakash, also has Kishore in a pivotal role

Mollywood actress Samyuktha Menon’s upcoming Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, Erida, will release directly on Amazon Prime Video. The film, directed by VK Prakash, also has Nassar and Kishore as part of the cast.
Talking to OTTplay, its scriptwriter YV Rajesh confirms the OTT release date of October 28. “The movie was shot as a bilingual, in Tamil and Malayalam. That’s also why we cast Nassar and Kishore in the movie as they are well known in both languages,” he says.
On Samyuktha’s character who is inspired by the Greek goddess of hate, Erida, the scribe says, “She’s someone who has given space to men in her life and found out that they took her for granted. Once she realises that, she takes them for a ride.” The movie will also deal with man-woman relationship and the struggles the latter gender face in society.
Erida was shot in Bengaluru soon after the lockdown rules were relaxed last year in September. The movie, which also has Hareesh Peradi and Dharmajan Bolghatty in pivotal roles, has music composed by Abhijith Shyalanath. The film will be Samyuktha’s third Tamil release after Kalari and July Kaatril. The actress recently started shooting for her Kannada debut through Gaalipata 2.
Meanwhile, it’s been a good year for the actress, who was lauded for her performance in movies such as Vellam, Aanum Pennum and Wolf. The movies also earned her the Kerala Film Critics award for Best Actress, which she shared with Surabhi Lakshmi. Samyuktha is also part of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Kaduva, which is directed by Shaji Kailas.
