After shooting in Chennai, the team Thalapathy 66, is currently in Hyderabad for a major schedule

It has been raining updates from the makers of Thalapathy 66. On social media, the team has been welcoming the actors, who are a part of this Tamil-Telugu bilingual, starring Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna in lead roles. While the Telugu actor Srikanth and singer Krish's wife Sangeetha were the latest addition to the star cast, Samyuktha Shan of Bigg Boss Tamil 4 fame has joined the film. She was seen latest in Priya’s Anantham; streaming on Zee5.
After shooting in Chennai, the team is currently in Hyderabad for a major schedule. Also, Vijay's recent picture has taken the internet by storm. He was seen interacting with his family, through a video call, on the sets of Thalapathy 66.
Directed by Vamshi Paidipally, Thalapathy 66 is expected to be an emotional family drama filled with elements of romance, comedy, emotion, and action.
The film, slated to release in Pongal 2023, is produced by Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations. Earlier, the makers were planning to release the film for 2022 Deepavali. Thalapathy 66 also stars Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha Kapoor, Shaam, and Yogi Babu in crucial roles.
While Thaman has already completed scoring a few songs, we hear that team Thalapathy 66 will be again in Chennai, for the next leg of shooting, and a huge set will be erected for the same.
Interestingly, Prakash Raj and Prabhu have worked on multiple projects with Vijay; although Thalapathy 66 marks the first collaboration between Vijay and Sarath Kumar. Thalapathy 66 is jointly scripted by Vamshi, Hari, and Ashishor Solomon. Lyricist Vivek is penning the dialogues and additional screenplay.
Kharthik Palani will be in charge of cinematography while KL Praveen is editing the film. Thalapathy 66 has Deepali Noor as the costume designer.
Vijay’s latest release was Beast, which hit the screens on April 13. The film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, will stream on Netflix, starting May 11. And, it has completed more than 25 days of theatrical run.
