Sanam Teri Kasam 2: Harshvardhan Rane wins hearts for clapping back at Mawra Hocane for her 'PR strategy' remark

Following the Operation Sindoor, Pakistani actors, including Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Hania Aamir, Mawra Hocane, and others, made comments against India's action and called it 'cowardly' and 'shameful.' After this, Harshvardhan Rane denied working in the Sanam Teri Kasam sequel if the previous cast returns. After this, Hocane reacted to Rane's statement and called it 'PR strategy.' Now, Harshvardhan clapped back at Hocane and won hearts on social media. 

Harshvardha Rane hits back at Mawra Hocane's comment

Amid heated tensions between India and Pakistan, Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane are having a war of words after Rane rejected being a part of Sanam Teri Kasam 2 if the previous cast returns. After this, Mawra criticised his statement and said that it was a 'PR strategy.'

Reacting to her comment, Rane said, “That sounded like an attempt at personal attack. Fortunately, I have tolerance to overlook such attempts - but have zero tolerance for any attack on my nation's dignity."

He further added, “An Indian farmer would pluck out the unwanted weed from his crop its called WEEDING, the farmer doesnt need a PR team for this act, its called common sense. I simply offered to step down from Part 2. I am fully within my rights to choose not to work with individuals who label my country's actions as 'cowardly.'" 

Harshvardhan counterattacked Mawra, criticizing her for resorting to personal attacks. He said that there is so much hate in her speech, so many personal remarks. He also mentioned that he has never mentioned her name or resorted to calling her names. "Didn't attack her dignity as a woman. I intend to maintain that standard," he added

Meanwhile, Sanam Teri Kasam received a lot of love after it was re-released in cinemas in 2025. The film was originally released in 2016. You can watch it on ZEE5 via OTTplay Premium! 

Harshvardhan's step of rejecting working with Mawra for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 won hearts on social media. They praised the actor for standing firm with his nation. 

Rejecting the sequel to Sanam Teri Kasam, Rane wrote, "While I am grateful for the experience however as things stand, and after reading the direct comments made about my country, I have made a decision to respectfully decline to be a part of 'Sanam Teri Kasam' part 2 if there is any possibility of the previous cast being repeated."
