Harshvardhan Rane, who is back in the news since the theatrical re-release of his film Sanam Teri Kasam, has spoken about why he would never appear on a podcast. The news comes as Ranveer Allahbadia is in the midst of a controversy over his 'unsanskaari' question on India's Got Latent. While Ranveer continues facing backlash, with celebs canceling appearances on his podcast, Harshvardhan has a rather different reason to never go on a podcast, and it has a lot to do with his personality.
It was when Harshvardhan Rane was giving an interview to Bollywood Hungama, that he revealed why he would rather not be one of those actors attending a podcast. And it has nothing to do with Ranveer Allahbadia controversy, but his own introverted personality. Harshvardhan explains that many actors seek self-acclaim by going on podcasts and introspecting over a particular statement they mentioned on the podcast. Tagging the concept of podcasts as 'psychologically sufficing' that tricks people into saying random things, he points out that would not translate to people actually coming to theatres to watch your movie. While mentioning that, Rane noted that there are many great podcasts but that did not translate to footfalls for the movie aimed to be promoted. While not seeing a point, the actor further noticed a trend on podcasts - of pulling the host down. Thus, his immediate counter-question when asked why doesn't he appear on the podcast is, "Conversion kitna hota hai?"

Sanam Teri Kasam had earned Rs. 9 crore when it was released nine years back. The movie has now earned double its release i.e. Rs. 18.50 crore within four days of its release. Thus, the film is now setting records and is well on its way to becoming a blockbuster re-release in 2025.
Ranveer Allahbadia made headlines over a remark he passed on India's Got Latent. He asked a contestant and judges present there, "If you notice your parents getting intimate, would you watch or join in?" This question faced wrath from the Indian audiences, following which the podcaster more popularly known as BeerBiceps had to issue a public apology. Nonetheless, he continues facing backlash over the comment.
