Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, the film is a powerful action crime drama that revolves around Ranvijay Singh (Ranbir), who seeks revenge on those who threaten his father's life (Anil Kapoor). In a new interview, Vanga was asked what made him cast Ranbir, who is popularly known for his lover boy roles, in a brutal action film like Animal.

In an interview with Game Changers, Sandeep Reddy Vanga was asked if Ranbir Kapoor was the first choice for Animal and what made him cast the actor in a brutal action movie despite knowing he is known for his lover boy image.
The filmmaker said, "When I see his previous work, aggression, arrogance, these features were every clearly defined while he was acting. I loved his performance right from his first film. Ranbir was the first choice for Animal. When I told him the idea, he loved it. After that, I started writing and the screenplay took a year. Then automatically he was there in every scene so it's like custom-made and tailor-made screenplay for him."
About Animal Park
Animal Park is the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster film Animal. The sequel is expected to be darker, more violent, and more complex than the original. The sequel will focus on Ranbir Kapoor's character, Ranvijay, and his lookalike. Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who directed the original Animal, will also direct the sequel.
Meanwhile, Animal tells the story of Ranvijay "Vijay" Singh (Ranbir Kapoor), a man with a tumultuous relationship with his powerful industrialist father Balbir Singh (Anil Kapoor), who embarks on a violent path of revenge after an assassination attempt on his father.
