Sandeep Reddy Vanga to be paid as much as director Rajamouli for Prabhas' Spirit? Here's his latest salary

Sandeep Reddy Vanga is high on the success of his latest film Animal. The Ranbir Kapoor-starrer, produced by T-Series and Pranay Reddy Vanga, ended as a blockbuster hit and made just over Rs 500 crore at the box office.

The emotional drama made some handsome profits, with Sandeep and his producer brother making close to Rs 200 crore from this film, according to reports. Now that Sandeep Reddy Vanga is all set to direct Telugu superstar Prabhas in Spirit, he will be paid a fat paycheck and we have all the details here.

Remuneration of directors

When it comes to remuneration of directors in Indian cinema, it is only acclaimed filmmaker SS Rajamouli who gets close to Rs 100 to 150 crore per film as his fee. The others directors, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rajkumar Hirani, Shankar, and Atlee, all of them make Rs 50-100 crore for a film. Going by the reports, Sandeep will also get the same amount as Rajamouli, if Spirit ends up as a Rs 1000 crore hit at the box office.

T-Series and Pranay Reddy Vanga are jointly bankrolling the film and the pre-release business will be done at never-before-heard amounts, thanks to the success of Animal. Sandeep and his brother will handle the entire production and will also take a share of the profits. The shooting of the film will begin in November 2024.

So, keeping all the calculations in mind, Sandeep will easily get close to Rs 150 crore as his fee. This is remarkable as only a few directors in Indian cinema get that kind of pay. T-Series is also pumping a lot of money into Spirit and the remunerations of the cast and technical team are also said to be way above the usual pay.

In Telugu, the other director who gets paid a bomb is Sukumar. The Pushpa director made close to Rs 50 crore for Pushpa and is getting Rs 100 crore as his fee for Pushpa 2. But Sandeep Vanga has surpassed everyone with his fee and all eyes are now on him to see how he will portray Prabhas as a cop in Spirit.
