The trailer of Sangarsha Ghadana was released on YouTube on March 1, giving us a peek into the world created by Krishand. The trailer begins with a person, named Sethumadhavan, being interrogated by two people who ask him about his 'connection' to the Mohanlal movie Kireedam. For the unversed, Mohanlal's character was named Sethumadhavan in the hard-hitting film from 1991.
The trailer then cuts to show an incoming train, even as scenes of people heading to a funeral with a wreath in hand play out. This is accompanied by a heavily accented English narration about a dragon, a king in an empire and more. The trailer, meanwhile, heads to a pulsating climax, and the narrator asks - "Will the heart of a humble warrior shine brighter than the might of an empire?". As the words of 'yin yang' are echoed throughout, the scenes evolve to form its symbol.
Overall, the film promises a gripping and complex tale on the art of warfare, set in Kerala. The film’s screenplay is by the director Krishand, who has also handled editing. The makers have said that Sangarsha Ghadana, which refers to the art of warfare, is based on a book by Sun Tzu.
