Sangeeth Shobhan's next for ZEE5, Prema Vimanam, kickstarts shoot

Sangeeth Shobhan, the Golconda High School-actor, who took the Telugu digital space by storm with his impressive performances in Pitta Kathalu (Netflix), The Baker and the Beauty (Aha) and Oka Chinna Family Story (ZEE5), has given his nod to a new project. The project titled Prema Vimanam is a ZEE5 original helmed by Santosh Kata. Saanve Megghana, who sparkled in Anand Deverakonda's Pushpaka Vimanam and Most Eligible Bachelor recently, is cast as the female lead.

Prema Vimanam formally commenced shoot earlier this week with a pooja ceremony in Hyderabad. The producer Abhishek Nama, Bharath Narang and Sunil Narang of Asian Group, Bobby from Geetha Arts were among others who graced the event. Bobby had switched on the camera and Bharath Narang had sounded the clapboard for the first shot. The web original is touted to be a new-age love story. Kalpalatha, Supreeth and Sailaja Priya are among others slated to play key roles in IT too.

Anup Rubens scores the music for the same while Jagadeesh Cheekati cranks the camera. Amar Reddy Kudumula will handle edits. Gandhi Nadikudikar is the production designer. This is Sangeeth's second project with ZEE5 after Oka Chinna Family Story. For the uninitiated, Sangeeth is the brother of actor Santosh Shobhan, who made a mark with Ek Mini Katha and Manchi Rojulochaie. Vasu Pothini is the CEO and Amruhtha Bommi is the costume designer. Prema Vimanam is produced under Abhishek Pictures.

In the official announcement about the original earlier this year, ZEE5 while describing the plot of Prema Vimanam said, "This is a story of two young village boys who want to take their first flight in a big bad world. What happens when they cross paths with an eloping couple leading to a series of hilarious, emotional moments."
