About Sanjay’s Dutt Career

Sanjay Dutt, the son of actors Sunil Dutt and Nargis, too dreamed of making it big in the film industry. By featuring in films like Saajan (1991), Sadak (1991), Khalnayak (1993), Aatish (1994), Andolan (1995), Daag (1999), and Haseena Maan Jaayegi (1999) to name a few, Sanjay felt confident to cement his position in the film industry.

He soon delivered three massive blockbusters by featuring in films namely Munna Bhai MBBS (2003), and Parineeta (2005), and Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006) — all of which are cherished to date.

However, in an unexpected series of events, Sanjay Dutt was arrested under TADA and the Arms Act for his role in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. This did bring a halt to his acting career. In 2007, he was convicted and sentenced to a six-year jail term. After serving the jail sentence, he resumed his work but soon became a patient of lung cancer. Though his health is being continuously monitored, he has not given up on his passion for acting.

As on date, he will next be seen in Binoy Gandhi directorial, Ghudchadi. The work on the sets of the film is under progress.
