Even after more than 40 years in the industry, Sanjay Dutt is still exploring new depths in his career. After making his Kannada debut with the superhit that was K.G.F: Chapter 2, the actor is all set to make his Tamil debut with Leo, sharing the screen with none other than Thalapathy Vijay. Sanjay is definitely enjoying his work of late and recently opened up about this new exciting phase in his career.

In conversation with ETimes, Sanjay spoke of how he was witnessing quite an interesting period as an actor, where they get a number of roles from all over the country. Excited about how the language barrier seems to have disappeared from the industry all together, Sanjay cited the examples of films like Prashanth Neel’s KGF and S S Rajamouli’s RRR.

Sanjay is also elated about the fact that a number of interesting parts are being written for him as well, saying “This is the most fun I have had in my career and I am relishing it”.

He went on to say that he wanted to do more films that the audiences can connect with as , at the end of the day, his job as an actor was to entertain audiences. Be it Bollywood or South films, he wanted to do good work that resonated with people.

A number of his upcoming projects will see Sanjay essay roles with antagonistic hues. Elaborating on the same, the actor said that each role was different from one another as the characters were written to suit the story. He made sure that he played each of his villainous roles in a way that was different from each other, considering it his duty as an actor.

Doing justice to each role he got was most important to him. He added that despite his decades long experience in the industry, he was still hungry for interesting work and good characters.
