Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War faces shoot delays, budget hike; Release planned for August–September 2026

Love & War, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, stars Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The film was originally slated for December 2025 but was later postponed to a March 2026 release. It has again been delayed due to Dhurandhar Part 2 and Yash's Toxic. Now, a report claimed that the film has faced shoot delays increasing budgets. 

Love & War shoot and release date update

Bollywood Hungama reported that Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Love & War has a revised shoot schedule. The filmmaker has extended the shoot schedule to May 2026. The source shared, "Ranbir, Alia and Vicky have blocked their calendars till May 2026 now. All their prior commitments stand delayed due to the increase in shoot days for Love & War."

The report further mentioned that Love & War cannot be released in June as Bhansali is now making an attempt to bring it to the big screen in August or September 2026. 

"A date will be decided shortly. This has left some of the members of the Ramayana team disappointed, as they were hoping for a gap of at least 6 months between Love & War and Ramayana. The delay in shoots has also resulted in an increase of budgets for Love & War," the source shared.
