Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which released in January 2025 for the festive season of Sankranthi, clashed at the box office with Game Changer and Daaku Maharaaj. But it was Sankranthiki Vasthunam, a family action drama starring Venkatesh Daggubati which made wonders at the box office. Now, nearly after two months of theatrical run, the film is all set to make its OTT debut.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is all set to premiere on ZEE5 on March 1 from 6 pm onwards. It will be available in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi and can be watched with your OTTplay Premium subscription as well. Written and directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film is backed by Sri Venkateswara Creations, and also features many known faces, including actors Meenakshi Chaudhary, Aishwarya Rajesh, Srinivasa Reddy, Sai Kumar, Upendra Limaye, Naresh, VTV Ganesh and Srinivas Avasarala.

The film revolves around a former DCP who is approached by his ex-girlfriend, now ACP, to help locate a CEO who has been abducted. However, the DCP's wife insists on accompanying him, suspecting the former lovers might rekindle. What follows is a series of action-filled comical events.

Sankranthiki Vasthunam opened to positive reception upon its release, and became one of the highest grossing Telugu films this year so far. With music by Bheems Ceciroleo, the film is shot by Sameer Reddy with edits handled by Tammiraju.
