Sankraanthiki Vasthunnam is a blockbuster hit at the box office and is still playing in a few theaters. The film has grossed over Rs 300 crore, bringing massive profits to producer Dil Raju, who lost a lot of money with Ram Charan's Game Changer which was also released alongside Sankranthiki Vasthunnam.

On the other hand, we at OTTplay have already reported that Zee5 has acquired the digital rights to the film for a whopping Rs 30 crore. However, in a surprising turn of events, it was revealed that the OTT release of the film would take place only after its TV premiere. This is an unusual move, as films typically release on OTT platforms first before premiering on television. However, since Zee5 secured both the OTT and TV rights, they decided to reverse the order and schedule a TV premiere first.
According to the latest update, the television premiere of Sankraanthiki Vasthunnam is set for March 1, 2025. An official confirmation has been made, and the announcement is now public. Following the TV premiere, the OTT release has also been locked in and will take place just two weeks later, in the second week of March 2025.

One notable aspect of Sankraanthiki Vasthunnam is that it is still running in several theaters worldwide. Actor Venkatesh has made a strong comeback with this film, directed by Anil Ravipudi. Reports indicate that all parties involved in the project have seen over 200% in profits.
As of now, Venkatesh has not signed any new films but will next appear in Rana Naidu 2 on Netflix. Meanwhile, director Anil Ravipudi has landed the prestigious opportunity to direct Chiranjeevi in a comedy caper, with filming set to begin in June. Stay tuned for more updates.
