After a string of big-budget A-list hero movies, Hombale Films announced a few mid-tier projects last year, including one with Navarasa Nayaka Jaggesh, directed by Santhosh Ananddram, who had given the production house hits like Raajakumara and Yuvarathnaa earlier. At the time, the production house had stated that Raghavendra Stores would be a comedy in typical Jaggesh fashion that will have laughter galore, while also warming the cockles of audience’s hearts.
Speaking to an English daily, Jaggesh had been quoted as saying that the script of Raghavendra Stores mirrors family issues in society. “The film will be shot at 25 locations, and every place will have an important role to play in the film. The film will entertain audiences across age groups,” he added.
Raghavendra Stores, which went on floors in late November last year, has already been wrapped up. Santhosh confirmed this development with a post on social media that read, “The shooting of #RaghavendraStores wrapped up and the film will soon be out on the big screen! The film is a sincere attempt to bring a novel film to the Kannada audience that isn't just a comedy, but also one that deals with socially relevant and important matters. The teaser will be out this month.”
Meanwhile, Jaggesh will be next be seen onscreen in Totapuri 1 and 2, which is his latest collaboration with Neer Dose maker Vijayaprasad. The actor’s also got the film Ranganayaka, in which he is reunited with Eddelu Manjunatha and Maata director Guruprasad. The Navarasa Nayaka is also committed to the sequel of his hit film Premier Padmini, which is expected to go on floors this year. Jaggesh had earlier said that he would begin work on Premier Padmini 2 once he completes Raghavendra Stores.
