Santhoshathinte Onnam Rahasyam, the single-shot movie gets an OTT release

This is a first of its kind experimental movie in the Malayalam film industry as the entire movie is of an 85-minute single shot. The movie also premiered at the International Film Festival Of Kerala (IFFK) and at the Moscow International Film Festival (MIFF), where it was selected under the main competition category. Lead roles are played by Rima Kallingal and Jithin Puthenchery under the direction of Don Pallathara.

The movie revolves around two people who are in a relationship. Jithin is a small-time actor and Maria is someone who aspires to do higher studies. But things don’t seem to be working in their favour as Maria thinks she is pregnant and thinks that a child might be a burden now. The movie is shot when they are travelling to the clinic to confirm if she is carrying or not. They get into a very heated argument, both frustrated and clueless about the situation. They are involved in a blame game and nobody seems to be winning. Interestingly, they divert their arguments and tiff every time a stranger hopes into their car. They keep their unpleasantries aside and are seen as calm for the time being.

The film received positive and negative critiques from the audience; mostly positives. The official trailer is out now and people are very excited for the movie to be released on the OTT platform as they find the concept to be ‘tempting’ as this is something new to Malayalam Film Industry.
