Actress Sanya Malhotra made her big Bollywood debut with Nitesh Tiwari's Dangal in 2016. The actress shared screen space with Aamir Khan and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the film. Sanya played the role of Babita Kumari in the movie. In a recent interview, the actress revealed how Dangal created new opportunities for her. She also spoke about the hard work that went into prepping for her role in the biographical sports drama.

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Sanya Malhotra revealed how her professional life changed after Dangal. "I got many opportunities," she shared. The actress added that getting the right opportunity at the right moment makes a difference. She also feels that hard work is essential. Sanya further mentioned that Dangal was an opportunity that made a difference.
"In my case, Dangal was my debut film, and because it was such a big project, things opened up for me. I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities that followed, and I have never taken my work lightly. I know that getting a debut like Dangal is rare, especially for someone from outside the industry," she told the entertainment portal.
The actress also mentioned that she has friends who are still trying to make it big it big in the industry despite their hard work. "It’s not that they are working any less hard or that I did something extraordinary—it’s just about getting the right opportunity," added Sanya.

Meanwhile, Sanya Malhotra is basking in the glory of her film Mrs' success. The actress played the lead role in Arati Kadav's movie, which premiered on ZEE5 on February 7, 2025. The movie revolves around the life of a trained dancer whose life is restricted to the kitchen after marriage. She shared screen space with Nishant Dahiya in the movie.
