It would be the stuff of dreams to make your acting debut in an Aamir Khan-led blockbuster and then appear with Shah Rukh Khan a few years later. It's a reality, though, for Sanya Malhotra, who made her feature debut with Dangal (2016). She will appear alongside Shah Rukh in Atlee's upcoming film Jawan. Working with the two superstars has not only provided Sanya with a wealth of knowledge but also an understanding of the secret to their unparalleled success.

She told Midday that it's the way they act while filming. The actor believes that their success is well-deserved because of the dedication they show to their work and the movies they create.

In addition to Jawan, Meghna Gulzar's Sam Bahadur and the highly anticipated adaptation of the Malayalam classic The Great Indian Kitchen (2021) are also on Sanya's film schedule this year. Remaking a critically acclaimed film can be challenging. The performer claims that, under Arati Kadav's direction, she hopes to reach a wider audience with the moving story of a new wife who feels stifled in a patriarchal household.

Sanya said that they have a high-quality film in their possession. She has faith that moviegoers will enjoy their version as much as the original did. The film's feminist message immediately struck a chord with her because it's an important story that has to be told. Taking on such parts is a deliberate decision. When making her movie choices, she always keeps gender politics in mind.

Sanya was last seen in Kathal, which is currently streaming on Netflix. In the satirical comedy that Yashowardhan Mishra directed, the actor plays the role of a police officer. The film also features Vijay Raaz, Rajpal Yadav, Neha Saraf, and Anant Vijay Joshi, among others, in pivotal roles. Kathal received mixed reactions from the masses and the critics.
